Making sure your eyesight stays as clear as possible means getting regular eye exams to detect disease and other problems that can impair vision. Dr. Vaughn provides comprehensive eye exams for patients in Inglewood and throughout the Los Angeles, CA, area so they can maintain the best vision possible and prevent serious eye diseases.
Your eye exam will begin by providing your health history and answering questions about your vision and eye health. The exam itself will include tests to ensure your eyes are properly aligned and that they work well together. Dr. Vaughn will evaluate the appearance of your eyes and how your pupils react to light. Other tests include the eye chart test and slit lamp test to evaluate your cornea and iris, and you may also have an eye pressure test for glaucoma. Your doctor will also dilate your pupils using special eye drops so he can see inside your eye to check the health of your retina and your optic nerve head.
