The Schedule for Pediatric Eye Exams

Pediatric eye exams often begin within a few days of birth. Your baby will have his or her eyes examined while your child is still in the hospital. The first eye exam in the office should take place sometime before your child is a year old. When your child goes to the pediatrician, they get a vision screening which is not the same as an eye exam.
